Traffic Accident on Highway 198 Left One Driver Dead, Another Injured
TULARE, CA (November 9, 2022) – Late Friday night, one person died and another one sustained injuries in a three-car crash on Highway 198.
The incident happened on November 4th, just before 11:00 p.m., involving three vehicles, according to responding authorities.
Initial reports showed that a female driver rear-ended a Subaru forester and veered into the center median. This caused another collision with a Ford Fusion along the highway.
Furthermore, the female driver was not wearing any seatbelt at the time of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford sustained injuries and was taken to Kaweah health medical center for further treatment. The driver of the Subaru did not suffer any wounds.
At this time, it was not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the deadly three-car crash, and Highway 198 was blocked in both lanes for investigation and clearing duties.
The identity of the woman was not yet determined. Further investigations are still underway.
