Traffic Accident on Harbison Canyon Road near Shadow Hills Elementary Left a Child Injured
ALPINE, CA (September 12, 2022) – Saturday night, a 12-year-old child sustained injuries after a scooter accident on Harbison Canyon Road.
The incident happened around 8:50 p.m., on August 13th, near Shadow Hills Elementary.
According to reports, the child was riding his scooter in the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle.
Paramedics responded and transported the child to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are currently withholding the child’s identity.
Meanwhile, the driver remained and cooperated with authorities. At this time, California Highway Patrol officers ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the accident.
Furthermore, authorities closed the area of Harbison Road for several minutes to allow for clearing operations.
Alpine officers are investigating the crash and urge any witnesses to call them at their local offices.
