Man in Wheelchair Dead in Traffic Accident on El Rio Avenue
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (September 9, 2022) – Early Monday morning, a pedestrian crash on Hall Avenue left one man dead.
The incident happened on September 5th, at about 3:15 a.m., north of El Rio Avenue.
According to authorities, the man in a wheelchair was traveling in the middle of the southbound lanes when he was struck by a vehicle. The impact of the collision left the man with fatal injuries.
Emergency crews arrived at the site of the accident shortly after and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigators. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the pedestrian crash on Hall Avenue.
