1 Pronounced Dead after Head-On Crash on State Route 78 [Ramona, CA]


Head-On Crash on State Route 78 Resulted in One Fatality

RAMONA, CA (December 1, 2022) Early Friday morning, police responded to a head-on crash on State Route 78.

It happened shortly before 5:00 a.m., November 25th, near Rancho Santa Fe Court.

According to CHP Traffic Information Page, the crash involved at least two vehicles. Furthermore, the vehicles reportedly collided head-on which resulted in the death of one person.

Meanwhile, a SigAlert was issued on the eastbound and westbound of SR-78 at around 5:20 a.m. due to the debris of the violent crash. Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

It was not known what time was the SigAlert lifted. The cause and circumstances surrounding the fatal head-on crash on State Route 78 is still under investigation.

No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of the victim.
