Traffic Crash on Highway 101 Resulted in Multiple Injuries
ARCATA, CA (July 28, 2022) – A two-vehicle collision near Sunset Avenue resulted in two people being hospitalized Tuesday evening.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash occurred just before 5:30 p.m. along Highway 101 near the Sunset Avenue off-ramp.
Furthermore, according to the police, the occupants of both vehicles sustained significant injuries.
However, their identities remain undisclosed by the authorities at this time.
In addition, investigators reported a Chevy Tahoe with front-end damage and a red SUV with significant rear-end damage.
No other details regarding the collision near Sunset Avenue are currently available. Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Arcata Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the Highway 101 two-vehicle crash. An active investigation is currently ongoing.
