Fiery Accident on Interstate 80 Resulted in Injuries
SPARKS, NV (August 25, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, a fiery two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 left two people with injuries.
The authorities responded around 12:21 a.m., August 6th, near Sparks Boulevard and Vista Boulevard.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are unknown, however, a tractor-trailer and another vehicle were involved, according to reports.
As a result of the collision, the cab and half of the trailer became engulfed in flames.
Responding paramedics then arrived and transported at least two people with unspecified injuries to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not released their current condition or identities at this time.
Furthermore, police stated that the crash forced the closure of the highway while fire crews extinguished the fire. At this time, no further information is available, although an active investigation is underway.
