Two People Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle Crash near Hesperia

VICTORVILLE, CA (November 10, 2022) – Sunday night, two individuals sustained injuries following a motorcycle crash on Bear Valley Road.

The incident occurred on October 30th, at around 7:45 p.m., involving a gray 1992 Indian motorcycle and a burgundy 2016 Kia Optima.

According to reports, the motorcycle and the sedan collided near the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road. The impact of the collision left the motorcyclist and the driver of the Kia with injuries.

Upon arrival, medics transported the woman who was in the Kia to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, the male rider needed to be transported by ambulance to a helipad and then airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. His condition remains unknown.

Following the collision, officials closed down the westbound lanes of Bear Valley Road to perform cleanup and preliminary duties regarding the crash.

Motorcyclists rarely escape injuries in the event of a collision. That is why it is important to never underestimate the bike’s speed when you’re riding a motorcycle. Strictly following traffic laws and the conditions of the road also prevent accidents. For other drivers, do not tailgate a motorcyclist. Keep a safe following distance and give motorcyclists a full traffic lane when you pass.
