Traffic Accident on Imperial Highway Left Several Injured

YORBA LINDA, CA (July 22, 2022) – On Tuesday, 4 officers sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Casa Loma Avenue.

The crash happened on July 18th, at around 12:30 a.m., near the intersection of Casa Loma Avenue and Imperial Highway.

According to police, officers at the scene were attending to an unrelated arrest on Imperial Highway. They had parked multiple cruisers on the road. A driver, believed to be driving under the influence, struck one of the cruisers with his car. The impact of the collision caused a chain reaction resulting in one of the vehicles crashing into several deputies who were outside of their cars. As a result, at least four officers sustained mild to moderate injuries.

Following the crash, paramedics arrived and transported the injured officers to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect also suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital.. He was later arrested for undisclosed reasons.
