Agustin Coyotl Killed in Traffic Accident on San Leandro Street [Oakland, CA]


44-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision along San Leandro Street, Suspect Arrested

OAKLAND, CA (October 22, 2022) – Monday morning, police responded to a traffic accident that claimed the life of Agustin Coyotl.

On October 17th, a vehicle fleeing from police collided with a car, driven by Coyotl, along San Leandro Street at around 7 a.m.

According to Chief LeRonne Armstrong, Coyotl was killed in the accident and the suspect was arrested and identified as 23-year-old Jonathan Hernandez.

Furthermore, officers were pursuing Hernandez for a hit-and-run when the collision occurred.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

No further information about the fatal accident on San Leandro Street is available to the public at this time, an active investigation is currently ongoing.
