Two 21-Year-Old Men Dead in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Camino de Oeste
TUCSON, AZ (July 12, 2022) – Thursday evening, a crash near Drabble Way claimed the lives of Alex Sanchez and Chandler Hartley.
According to Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened at around 5:45 p.m., on July 7th, along Camino de Oeste, near Drabble Way. The two 21-year-old men, Alex Sanchez and Chandler Hartley, were driving a Mercury Grand Marquis, down the road at high speeds.
For reasons currently unknown, the Mercury veered into opposing traffic, striking a Jeep and a Dodge Charger, before coming to a rest.
Despite life-saving efforts, EMS pronounced Sanchez dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported Hartley and the driver of the Dodge Charger to a local hospital. There, Hartley also succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep was treated by officials at the scene and released shortly after.
At this time, authorities are still investigating the factors of the crash.
