38-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Semi-Truck Collision near Holmes RoadSAN BERNARDINO, CA (November 11, 2022) – Monday evening, Antoinette Ortiz was killed in a big-rig accident on State Route 247. Police responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., near Holmes Road on November 7th. For reasons under investigation, a vehicle and a semi-truck collided in the area. However, the reason behind the fatal incident and the total number of vehicles involved remains unclear. First responders arrived and declared one passenger dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol later identified the deceased victim as 38-year-old Ortiz, from San Leandro. No further details regarding the State Route 247 accident have been released to the public at this time. San Bernardino Officials will provide more information once available.
