Hallmark Drive Multi-Vehicle Collision Resulted in Two Fatalities, Four Hospitalized

SACRAMENTO, CA (October 18, 2022) – Sunday morning, a multi-vehicle crash in the Arden Arcade area claimed the lives of Carol Trinidad Duchnowski and Stephen John Duchnowski, 4 others were injured.

According to the police, the fatal collision happened around 9:20 a.m., near Hallmark Drive and Howe Avenue.

Tragically, responding paramedics declared two people dead at the scene. Four other patients were transported to hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Authorities later identified both fatal victims as 74-year-old Stephen John Duchnowski and 65-year-old Carol Trinidad Duchnowski.

In addition, photos from the incident revealed at least three vehicles and a utility pole with significant damage along an intersection.

Police temporarily shutdown both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the Arden Arcade area multi-vehicle crash.
