Collision near Cleghorn Road Left One Fatality

CAJON, CA (September 29, 2022) – Tuesday night, 55-year-old Dean Camero was pronounced dead after a pedestrian accident on Interstate 15.

The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m, just north of Cleghorn Road, according to Cajon Officials.

Per initial reports, a pedestrian, later identified as Dean Camero, was struck by a vehicle along Interstate 15 for reasons currently unknown.

Upon arrival, California Highway Patrol pronounced the 55-year-old pedestrian dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, authorities are unsure if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. No further information regarding the fatal pedestrian accident on Interstate 15 is available at this time. However, an active investigation is currently underway.
