Semi-Truck Collision on Temescal Canyon Road Left One Fatality

CORONA, CA (July 7, 2022) – A fiery crash on 15 Freeway claimed the life of Las Vegas resident Demetrius Powell early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the incident around 2:40 a.m. at the Southbound Corona (15) Freeway and the Temescal Canyon Road on-ramp.

Upon arrival, Riverside County Fire crews discovered a big rig that collided with another vehicle, for reasons unknown.

As a result of the impact, the truck became engulfed in flames; however, authorities were quick to extinguish the fire.

Eventually, first responders declared 31-year-old Demetrius Powell dead at the scene, due to the extent of his injuries.

Moreover, Corona Police have not disclosed what vehicle Powell was occupying prior to the collision.
