Pedestrian Collision near Ethanac Road Left One Fatality

PERRIS, CA (October 22, 2022) – On Wednesday night, police responded to a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Diana Aguirre. The crash happened on October 19th shortly before 6:00 p.m. when officers were dispatched to crash on Highway 74. According to police, Aguirre was walking across the highway for reasons unknown. Aguirre was then struck by a 2015 Accord in the southbound lanes, leaving her with fatal injuries. Furthermore, the driver fled the scene and left the car in the area of Highway 74 and Greenwald Avenue, officer Mike Lassig said. Perris Officials pronounced 34-year-old Aguirre dead at the scene due to the extent of her injuries. Additionally, police are still investigating the fatal hit-and-run at this time. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the CHP at 951-506-2000.
