Two-Vehicle Collision at Jewels Vista Drive near Highway 145 Injured at Least One

MADERA COUNTY, CA (November 15, 2022) On Friday morning, one person sustained injuries after a head-on collision at Jewels Vista Drive.

The accident happened around 11:45 a.m. near Highway 145, on November 4th.

According to the CHP, the head-on crash involved a Toyota Prius and another unidentified vehicle, though the main events that led to the collision remain unclear.

Responding officers located the Prius driver with major injuries. Authorities currently withheld the name of the driver pending notification of kin.

Furthermore, the crash blocked both lanes at Jewels Vista Drive for a few hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. The roadway has since been reopened.

At this time, authorities are currently conducting an active investigation into the crash and will release more information as soon as it becomes available.
