DUI Driver Arrested after Vehicle Crash near Avondale Boulevard
TOLLESON, AZ (October 13, 2022) – Monday night, police arrested Duse-Timothy Coates after a DUI crash on Interstate 10.
The incident happened on October 10th, at around 9:00 p.m. on Interstate 10 near Avondale Boulevard.
According to police, one of the two vehicles involved traveled over a guardrail and overturned.
Furthermore, the crash resulted in one woman suffering major injuries, requiring an amputation as well.
In addition, police identified Coates as the driver that caused the collision.
After the his arrest, authorities found traces of methamphetamine in Coates vehicle.
Meanwhile, authorities charged Coates with assault, DUI, and a probation violation with a $75,000 bond.
Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
