3 Students and 1 Driver Injured in School Bus Crash near Higley Road

GILBERT, AZ (August 23, 2022) – Friday morning, a bus crash near Higley Road and Chandler Heights Road left five people injured.

The incident happened on August 19th, sometime before 9 a.m. involving a van and a school bus with 59 occupants.

According to reports, a school bus collided with a van. The impact of the collision left several people injured.

Upon arriving at the scene, emergency crews had to extricate the van driver from his vehicle and transport him to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. They also treated the bus driver and three students for minor injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities shut down the areas between Chandler Heights Road and Riggs Road for clean up and preliminary duties.
