19-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Accident near Wallula Junction

WALLA WALLA, WA (November 17, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, Gavin Foster was killed and two were injured in a wrong-way crash on Highway 12.

Around 2:45 a.m., police responded to the scene just east of the Wallula Junction.

Per reports, Foster was driving a westbound 1997 Nissan 200 SX when he crossed into oncoming lanes. There, he collided with an eastbound 1994 Ford F250 pickup-truck, driven by 18-year-old Adrianna Rodriguez.

Medics arrived and transported 19-year-old Foster to Kadlec Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported Rodriguez, of Kennewick and her three passengers to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The passengers were identified as 19-year-old Samantha Castaneda, of Pasco, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy.

Following preliminary duties, investigators say Foster was wearing a seat belt at the time. However, the four passengers inside the pickup-truck were not restrained.
