Halleloo! Shangela’s Fully Lit Tour Heats Up L.A.

It takes a lot to stand out amidst the glamorous queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race, but Shangela Pierce did just that. She has the best catchphrase (Hallehoo!) and she was the first queen to compete on three separate seasons, taking her popularity to new heights as a co-host and producer of the Emmy-nominated HBO hit We’re Here and with roles on Glee, The Mentalist, and A Black Lady Sketch Show. She also stood out in the drag club scenes of A Star Is Born with Lady Gaga.

More recently, she was a favorite on Disney+’s last season of Dancing With the Stars (the first male celebrity contestant to be paired with a male pro dancer). She placed fourth and many felt she was robbed, as she lit up the screen every time she was on. Now she’s bringing her black girl magic to the stage with the “Fully Lit” Tour and it sounds like a scorcher.

“Everything fans know from over the years is exactly what they are going to get,” Shangela tells LA Weekly.  “I am so excited to be back performing in L.A. The audience will see a combination of performance, talent and some great comedy storytelling. It is going to be what the title is – on fire, and burning up. I have so much energy for entertaining and thrilled to be on the stage connecting with my fans and this show is the best way to do it.”
