54-Year-Old Dead After Car Collision near Old County Road
TRUCKEE, CA (October 27, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a two-vehicle crash on State Route 28 claimed the life of Ian Tippins. The fatal incident happened around 9:00 a.m. along State Route 28, east of Old County Toad. According to the investigators, a westbound GMC Savana veered to the left and crossed the double yellow lines. As a result, the front left side of the GMC collided with a westbound Peterbilt tractor being driven by 59-year-old Scott Juniver, pulling a flatbed trailer. Tragically, the GMC driver, identified as 54-year-old Tippins, died at the scene. The tractor driver remained uninjured. No further details regarding the State Route 28 two-vehicle crash have been released to the public at this time.
