2 Teens Fatally Struck in Fiery Collision near Manning AvenueORANGE COVE, CA (October 10, 2022) – On Monday of August 28th, Jaqueline Martinez and Yolanda Chapa died in a fiery crash on Highway 63. Authorities responded to the scene near Manning Avenue after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area. According to reports, the driver of an SUV failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As a result, the SUV struck an oncoming garbage truck that had the right of way. Upon impact, the SUV overturned and became engulfed in flames. Both occupants, identified as 16-year-old Martinez, and 16-year-old Chapa were pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be released.
