Traffic Accident near Fort Irwin Main Security Gate Left One Person Dead
FORT IRWIN, CA (October 12, 2022) – Friday afternoon, Javier Ramirez Castaneda was killed in a car accident on Fort Irwin Road.
The incident happened on October 7th, at around 1:20 p.m., approximately one mile south of the Fort Irwin main security gate.
According to reports, Castaneda was traveling on Fort Irwin Road when his vehicle became involved in a collision. The impact of the crash left Castaneda with serious injuries.
Fort Irwin Police arrived at the site of the collision shortly after. There, officials pronounced 53-year-old Castaneda of Rialto dead at the scene.
At this time, no further details regarding the Fort Irwin Road traffic crash have been released to the public. However, the United States Army Criminal Investigation Division will provide more information once it becomes available.
