Deadly Head-On Collision near Shaw Avenue Resulted with 2 Deaths and 1 Injury
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (October 26, 2022) – Friday night, two others were killed and Jimmy Saravia were injured following a head-on collision.
On October 21st, at about 11:04 p.m., police responded to the area of Highway 33 and Shaw Avenue on a reported head-on crash.
According to police, a Ford driven by a woman with a male occupant was traveling northbound veered to the southbound lanes and collided with a vehicle towing a two-axle flatbed trailer.
Furthermore, responding officers pronounced the two occupants of the Ford dead at the scene. Both vehicles showed major front end damages.
Following the events, the identities of the deceased persons will be released once the families were notified.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Saravia suffered only minor injuries, per initial reports. A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, it was unknown why the vehicle drifted to the southbound lanes. Further investigations into the fatal head-on collision are currently in-progress.
