31-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Traffic Accident near Salinas Street
SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 5, 2022) – On Wednesday morning, a crash on Highway 101 claimed the life of Joshua Latham.
The incident happened on August 31st, at around 10:00 a.m. on Highway 101, just south of Salinas Street.
According to California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist identified as 31-year-old Latham was weaving in and out on the highway at high speed. Latham then crashed into the back of a Honda CRV, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle.
Officers arrived at the site of the crash shortly after and pronounced Latham dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the CRV suffered no injuries. The crash resulted in the closure of one lane of the highway for about two hours. An active investigation is ongoing.
