78-Year-Old Man Dead after Car Collision near Wells Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 29, 2022) – Thursday morning, Kenn Lawrence Steffan lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80.
The accident happened on September 8th, at around 10:00 a.m. along eastbound I-80 near Wells Avenue.
According to reports, Steffan was traveling eastbound in a 1993 Ford Ranger pickup when he failed to slow down. He then lost control of the vehicle. The car veered to the left, rotating counter-clockwise, and continued north, hitting a concrete median. A 2016 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by William Johnson, then struck the Ranger on the left side.
The impact of the collision left Steffan with serious injuries. Responding crews rushed the victim to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Medics pronounced 78-year-old Kenn Lawrence Steffan dead at 10:41 a.m.
Meanwhile, Johnson, the driver of the Dodge, was unharmed in the crash.
