Motorcycle Accident West of Platina Resulted in One Fatality
SHASTA COUNTY, CA (August 31, 2022) – On Sunday afternoon, a motorcycle crash on Highway 36 claimed the life of Kevin Burgess.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 36, west of Platina.
Furthermore, investigators claimed the rider lost control on a curve and ran off the roadway, causing his motorcycle to strike a tree.
Unfortunately, responding medical personnel declared 51-year-old Burgess dead at the scene.
Shasta County Officials said that alcohol was not a factor and Burgess was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
