26-Year-Old Man Arrested and Teenager Injured Following Two-Vehicle Crash near Tatum Boulevard

PHOENIX, AZ (October 04, 2022) – Friday afternoon, Kordell Elis was arrested following a crash near Thunderbird Road that injured one teenager. The incident happened on September 30th at around 3:00 p.m. in the area near near Tatum Boulevard and Thunderbird Road, per initial reports. According to police, 26-year-old Ellis was speeding as officers attempted to pull him over. However, Elis drove away from the officers and through a school yard. Furthermore, the officers lost sight of him and he was later found the vehicle in the area crashed into another vehicle. As a result, one teenage occupant of the other vehicle suffered injuries but were reported to be non-life-threatening. 26-year-old Kordell Elis was arrested shortly after by Phoenix Police. No other information has been provided at this time, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
