Big Rig Collision near Buena Vista Road Left One 80-Year-Old Woman Dead
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 19, 2022) – An accident on Highway 119 Monday morning claimed the life of Linda Joyce Beaty, reports said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 7:22 a.m. at Buena Vista Road.
Investigators said a woman driving a 2016 Ford pulled in front of a 2015 Peterbilt truck, for reasons unknown.
Unfortunately, the 80-year-old female driver died at the scene while her other female passenger sustained moderate injuries.
Bakersfield Officials later identified the deceased as 80-year-old Beaty.
Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal Highway 119 crash.
