Man Pronounced Dead Following Hit-and-Run Accident on 5th Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, a DUI pedestrian crash on Hill Street claimed the life of one man and three dogs.

The fatal crash happened around 12:20 a.m., near the intersection of 5th and Hill Street on September 29th, per Los Angeles Officials.

Furthermore, reports say that a northbound vehicle struck a man walking with his three dogs.

According to police, when officers arrived they found the deceased victim under the vehicle together with his dogs. His identity has not yet been released.

Authorities added that the vehicle had already struck six other cars before the event of the pedestrian collision.

Also, police needed force to take the driver into custody. He was assessed and was determined to be driving under the influence.

The driver was charged with DUI and faces potential charges of hit-and-run, and manslaughter. The pedestrian crash on Hill Street is still under investigation.
