Man and Woman Airlifted after Motorcycle Crash on H Street [Lompoc, CA]

2 Hospitalized after Motorcycle Accident near Central Avenue

LOMPOC, CA (October 17, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a man and a woman were airlifted after a motorcycle crash on H Street. The incident took place in the 1300 block of North H Street around 2:30 p.m., near Central Avenue. According to reports, the rider was seen splitting lanes at an intersection with a red light. The motorcycle passenger then stood up, which eventually caused the driver to lose balance and fall. The rider and passenger ended up in the second lane of traffic, in between a semi-truck hauling a trailer. The motorcycle then got dragged with the semi-truck as it continued to travel on the road. Shortly after, the semi-truck driver felt the trailer move and came to a complete stop when he noticed the motorcyclists in his mirror. Responding paramedics airlifted the two victims with leg injuries to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released their identities. At this time, Lompoc authorities are still investigating the motorcycle crash on H Street and ask anyone with information to reach them at (805) 736-2341. Give motorcyclists a full traffic lane when you pass, as they too have equal rights on the road.
