Man Arrested after Traffic Accident on Stockdale Highway [Bakersfield, CA]


Vehicle Crash near Ashe Road Left Several Injured, One Arrested

BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 28, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, police arrested a man following a traffic accident on Stockdale Highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers attempted to pull over a speeding gray Dodge west of Ashe Road.

However, the Dodge driver fled at a high rate of speed while in-pursuit officers stopped for safety reasons.

Shortly after, the suspect crashed into at least three vehicles along Ming Avenue and Ashe Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

In the end, the 21-year-old driver was arrested for multiple charges. Authorities reported a person who sustained minor injuries and another driver who was released at the scene.

The identities of the people involved in the Stockdale Highway accident remain unknown. Bakersfield Officials will provide more information once available.
