31-Year-Old Ojai Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident near Salinas Street

OJAI, CA (October 3, 2022) – Wednesday morning, one man was fatally injured in a motorcycle collision on Highway 101.

The incident happened around 10:00 a.m., just south of Salinas Street.

According to reports, the rider was seen speeding and weaving in and out of traffic lanes when he crashed into the left rear of a Honda CRV. The impact of the crash ejected the rider off of his motorcycle onto the road.

Despite life-saving efforts, responding paramedics pronounced the involved rider dead on scene. No other injuries were reported and the CRV driver remained and cooperated with the authorities.

Moreover, crews block one lane on the freeway for several hours as crews cleaned the wreck. At this time, further events leading up to the incident remain under active investigation.
