Male Cyclist Hospitalized after Head-On Crash near Cumberland Street
HARTFORD, CA (December 14, 2022) – Wednesday evening, one man sustained injuries in a bicycle collision on New Britain Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene just before 8:30 p.m., near Cumberland Street in Hartford.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a male cyclist in the area. Upon arrival, first responders located the man suffering from serious injuries.
Medical personnel arrived and transported the bicyclist to Hartford Hospital with severe traumatic injuries.
Following preliminary duties, the driver said he accidentally hit the bicyclist while driving east on New Britain Avenue. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
