29-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies in Hit-and-Run near California Street
NEWARK, CA (November 10, 2022) – Wednesday night, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Central Avenue.
Police responded to the crash on November 3rd, at around 2:00 a.m., near California Street.
According to reports, a 29-year-old Fremont man was walking in the area when he was struck by vehicle. The driver of the vehicle then drove away without rendering aid to the victim.
When first responders arrived they found the victim on the road with serious injuries. Paramedics then performed life-saving measures but the man died due to the extent of his injuries.
