Male Driver Ejected and Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Santa Monica Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 16, 2023) – Early Friday morning, one man was ejected and killed in a multi-car accident on 405 Freeway.
Police responded to the scene around 2:11 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Santa Monica Boulevard on January 6th.
Per reports, a driver lost control and struck the center divider, ejecting one man from the vehicle onto the road. Investigators say the victim was then struck by another vehicle.
Officers arrived and found the male victim lying on the highway unconscious. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
