Melissa Jacqueline Castillo, Crystaline Joy Barile Bendo Pronounced Dead after Head-on Crash on North Riverside Avenue [Rialto, CA]


22-Year-Old, 31-Year-Old Women Killed after Head-on Collision near Ashford Avenue

RIALTO, CA (October 10, 2022) – On Thursday, Melissa Jacqueline Castillo and Crystaline Joy Barile Bendo died in a crash on Riverside Avenue.

On October 6th, just before 3:00 a.m., in the 3500 block of North Riverside Avenue near Ashford Avenue.

Preliminary report, Castillo tried to pass an 18-wheeler but she crossed a double yellow line and collided with an oncoming vehicle.

Furthermore, 22-year-old Castillo from San Bernardino was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, 31-year-old Bendo of Palmdale was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where she later died.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

No other information about the fatal head-on collision on Riverside Avenue is available at this moment.
