Boat Collision in San Francisco Bay Left One Fatality
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 6, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, 65-year-old Michael Wells lost his life in a boat accident near Angel Island.
According to the US Coast Guard, the incident happened around 2:09 p.m., when a motorboat spun out of control, following a collision with a sailboat.
Upon arrival, authorities removed a man, later identified as Michael Wells, from the water with critical injuries, after being ejected from the motorboat.
Eventually, the first responders declared Wells dead at the scene.
Additionally, San Francisco Officials stated that four individuals, occupying the sailboat at the time of the collision, sustained no injuries.
