Driver Killed in Rollover Collision near Shoup AvenueLOS ANGELES, CA (October 20, 2022) – Early Wednesday, one person died in an SUV crash on the Ventura Freeway. The incident happened on October 19th, at around 12:28 a.m. along the northbound lanes of the Ventura Freeway near Shoup Avenue. According to reports, the SUV, occupied by three people crashed and flipped over down an embankment. Investigators said the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit the center divider sending it off the freeway. The crash left three people trapped in the vehicle. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after and extricated all patients from the wreckage. Medics pronounced one person died at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, two other victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
