One Killed in Fiery Crash on Air Expressway Boulevard [Victorville, CA]

One Person Killed in Head-On Multi-Vehicle Crash near Nevada Avenue

VICTORVILLE, CA (August 9, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a fiery crash on Air Expressway Boulevard claimed the life of a 25-year-old man.

The incident happened on August 7th, at around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Air Expressway Boulevard and Nevada Avenue. Reports say four vehicles were involved in the collision, a 2007 Toyota Corolla, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2013 Kia Soul, and a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the Corolla was traveling west on Air Expressway Boulevard when it veered into oncoming traffic. The Corolla crashed head-on with the Silverado and then the Soul. The Soul then rolled over several times, striking a Jetta before coming to a stop.

Emergency personnel arrived and pronounced the 25-year-old male driver of the Corolla dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not released his name pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the 50-year-old driver of a 2020 Silverado and the 46-year-old driver of a Kia Soul were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained.
