Two-Vehicle Crash near Gorda Left One Fatality
GORDA, CA (September 22, 2022) – On Monday night, one person died after a two-car collision on Highway 1, authorities said.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 1 near Gorda, per initial reports.
According to the police, the crash involved two vehicles; however, the circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear at this time.
Unfortunately, one person from the incident was pronounced dead at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
No further details regarding the Highway 1 two-car collision have been released to the public at this time; however, more information will be posted as it becomes available.
A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
