Pedestrian Struck and Killed near D Street
PERRIS, CA (December 13, 2022) – Wednesday evening, a pedestrian crash on Interstate 215 claimed the life of at least one person.
The deadly collision happened around 6:45 p.m. near the D Street exit ramp from southbound I-215, per preliminary reports.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, a pedestrian crossed D Street as a vehicle exited the freeway and entered the two-lane corridor.
Investigators said the driver failed to stop on time and fatally struck the individual crossing the roadway.
At this time, the identity of the deceased pedestrian remains undisclosed, pending notification of the next of kin.
Meanwhile, the involved 37-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the deputies.
No further details regarding the Interstate 215 pedestrian crash have been released to the public. Perris Officials will provide more information about the collision once available.
