The incident happened on October 16th, at around 4:00 a.m., at Indian Canyon Drive, just north of Mission Lakes Boulevard. According to police, Forst was standing in the middle of the road when she was struck by a green Chrysler. According to the driver, he tried to avoid Forst but ended up hitting her. When first responders arrived, they pronounced 24-year-old Sierra Forst of Desert Hot Springs dead at the scene.
