3-Year-Old Child Dies after DUI Collision near Blaine Street

RIVERSIDE, CA (November 29, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, a DUI crash on 215 Freeway killed a young girl and left two others injured.

The incident happened on November 23rd, at around 12:33 a.m., in the southbound lanes of 215 Freeway, north of Blaine Street.

According to reports, the crash involved a sedan with three occupants and a pickup truck with a driver. Investigations show that the pickup truck was traveling in front of the sedan when it experienced mechanical issues. The driver of the truck pulled over, however, the sedan collided with it, causing the sedan to roll over. The impact of the collision caused the occupants of the sedan to sustain injuries.

When first responders arrived, they pronounced a passenger from the sedan, a 3-year-old girl, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported another child and the driver of the sedan to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The pickup truck driver did not suffer any injuries.
