Nevada State Patrol Officer Hurt in a Pursuit Crash on Interstate 215 near Cheyenne Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 18, 2022) – Wednesday night, a Nevada State a wrong-way crash on Interstate 215 left an officer and one other injured. The accident took place on northbound lanes of Interstate 215 around 9:30 p.m. According to police, the officer flashed the headlights of his SUV to a wrong-way driver in a black Dodge Journey in an attempt to stop it. However, the driver did not stop and continued driving. Then the officer decided to drive into the path of the suspect and crashed into the front of the Dodge. Both vehicles ended up on the shoulder of the road. After the crash, responding emergency crews extricated the driver of the Dodge.
