Victoria Velazquez Killed in Solo-Car Crash on Audrey Avenue [Riverside,CA]


Passenger Injured, Driver Dead Following Single-Vehicle Collision near Jackson Street

RIVERSIDE, CA (October 4, 2022) – 19-year-old Victoria Velazquez lost her life Thursday after a solo-car crash on Audrey Avenue.

The accident took place along Audrey Avenue and Jackson Street around 7:30 a.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Velazquez was driving a 2000 Honda Accord south on Jackson at a high speed when she lost control, careened off the road, and into a pole.

Velazquez and her passenger, only identified as a Riverside man, were both critically injured when first responders arrived. Paramedics then transported them to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, Velazquez died at the hospital due to the severity of her injuries. Meanwhile, officials reported that the man is now stable and expected to live.

At this time, authorities are still conducting an active investigation of the crash, once available more information will be released.
