Some people are naturally enriched in skills and abilities. Athleticism, business, entrepreneurship, and even other career skills can be a natural asset to some. However, to others, they rise to success when they are least expected to succeed, appearing to be least qualified or expected. Everyone truly does love an underdog story, and that is true for Wes Paul. Beginning his life and career with a rough background, Wes defied the odds around him by starting a telemarketing office on his own at the age of 24. From there life took him down some more difficult paths, however, who he is today is a man determined to not let his past mistakes control his present goals.
Becoming who he is today was a journey full of difficult choices. Everyone is prone to mistakes, however, how we learn and grow from them determines our success in this life. Wes overcame and still overcomes struggles in his rise to success in the entrepreneurial world, yet he does not let the negative influences of his past mistakes dictate how he chooses to live his present life as well as run his business. Determined to help as many people as he can, Wes is a dedicated entrepreneur trying to leave a mark in his industry.
Decisions and The Butterfly Affect
In the psychological world, the term “butterfly effect” describes how every little decision can have an impact on something or someone in the largest ways. A butterfly flapping its wings may not seem like a major life event, yet it can have some larger ecological repercussions. We think more often about it through the lens of life decisions. Wes grew up in a rough home situation. Bad at school, not believing he would amount to anything impactful, Wes tried his best at doing something with his life. When he was twenty-four, Wes began his own telemarketing company.
From the outside, doing what he could to make the most of his business, Wes Paul worked hard. However, as mentioned with the butterfly, little decisions can change us for the rest of our lives. So is true with Wes. Getting involved in some big mistakes, Wes landed himself in prison for nine years. One mistake changed his life forever. However, this was just the beginning of his story.
Turning The Tables
3,285 days. That’s how long Wes Paul spent behind bars in prison. That’s a long time to be able to think about your life and your decisions. “I lost everything and all my support” says Wes, and because he was left with nothing, he was able to focus on resetting his mind. So, the last few years he spent in prison, Wes focused on working on his mind. Studying, meditating, and thinking of how he could do something bigger, Wes dedicated his time and energy into renewing himself through his mind. “I elevated my mindset to prepare for success after my release.”
Determined and dedicated to changing his life path once being released from prison, Wes first landed a job in hospitality as a bartender. In 2019, he began his job as a bartender, yet Co-vid came quickly around the corner shutting down the world and putting his goals on hold. However, instead of letting his environment dictate his life for him, he quickly realized how he wanted to pursue an entrepreneurial endeavor: he wanted to help people understand how to repair and maintain their credit.
Pursuing Success And Financial Freedom
After realizing how he wanted to help others and make his mark in the business world, Wes set out to help people fix their credit. The average credit card debt in America can ranges from $4000 – $6000, and Wes was and still is determined to educate people on how to build back their broken credit. After focusing on repairing credit, in the summer of 2020 to 2021, Wes switched the company to focus on credit monitoring and education. The switch helped Wes fulfil his dream in making a bigger impact in teaching financial literacy.
Because of his desire to diversify his services, Wes Paul was able to help over 500 different businesses find and qualify for funding and stimulus programs. His major success in his credit company’s services has led him to develop two different companies and programs: media and mentorship. As he grows his various companies and programs, Wes is focused on helping people in everything he does. “Ultimately, we are looking to mentor others to go chase their BLUEPRINT.”
Defying The Social Norms
Hitting a wall is never a welcomed experience. In life, business, or relationships, pain, hurt, and mistakes can change us forever. However, choosing to learn and grow instead of running from the difficult circumstances defines your life – not the mistakes. That is exactly how Wes Paul has lived his life. Building himself back up from rock bottom has helped Wes realize how important it is to do the right thing and work hard in every area of your life. His success hasn’t been an easy journey, but his trials have shown him how sweet success truly can be.
As a business owner, mentor, and social media influencer, Wes Paul is committed to being the best version of himself and helping others to do the same. The power of choosing your own path over letting society dictate what you make of your life has strengthened Wes to defy the social norms. Moving forward Wes hopes to build his personal brand and companies to be recognized more. In addition to gaining popularity, Wes aspires to be a keynote speaker at events and continue helping others find financial freedom in their credit experience.
