Pedestrian Accident near Jolly Way Left 65-Year-Old Man Dead
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (November 22, 2022) – Thursday morning, a pedestrian crash on Mission Boulevard claimed the life of William Deis.
The fatality happened around 5:10 a.m. near Jolly Way in the city of Jurupa Valley.
According to the Riverside County sheriff’s department, a westbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup on Mission Boulevard when the pedestrian came into its path.
However, the driver could not avoid the pedestrian in time, causing a collision. The pickup driver immediately stopped and contacted 911.
Tragically, responding county fire paramedics declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Later, authorities identified the deceased pedestrian as 65-year-old William Deis of Wildomar.
At this time, investigators are working to determine the reason why Deis was on the street.
