63-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Hit-and-Run Accident near North Shasta Street

WILLOWS, CA (October 11, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a hit-and-run crash on Wood Street claimed the life of a 63-year-old woman. The incident happened on October 1st, at around 5:48 p.m., on Wood Street near North Shasta Street. According to police, the 63-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street when she was struck by the vehicle. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the female pedestrian on the street with severe injuries. Paramedics then transported the woman to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, a witness told the police that the vehicle involved fled the scene and went eastbound on Wood Street. At this time, the police have not been able to locate the vehicle.
