Woman Dead after a Hit-and-Run Crash on Belmont Avenue and Echo Avenue

FRESNO, CA (October 20, 2022) – Sunday morning, police a hit-and-run crash on Belmont Avenue and Echo Avenue claimed the life of a woman.

The incident happened on October 16th, at around 12:45 a.m., when police received a report about a woman struck by a vehicle.

According to reports, a woman was walking in the area when she was struck by a vehicle that then fled without rendering aid to a victim. Shortly after she was struck by another vehicle.

When officers arrived at the site of the collision, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials have identified her only as a woman in her 50s.

Meanwhile, the second driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigations.

No other information was provided and further investigations are underway.
